Paraphrasing research

With this T4T tutorial, students learn to write research findings in their own words. They develop an understanding of the importance of avoiding plagiarism by restating ideas expressed by someone else in their own words, and of using paraphrasing to combine various sources of information into an integrated message. This tutorial includes instructional suggestions for teachers (introducing the strategy, practicing the strategy, reinforcing the strategy, applying the strategy to everyday teaching, and assessing use of the strategy) and resources for students (introductory activities, data charts, student guide and self-assessment rubric).
