Critical Challenges Across the Curriculum
Winner of the 1997 Innovative Teaching of the Year Award from the BC Social Studies Teachers' Association, this series focuses on infusing critical thinking into the teaching of subject matter at various grade levels. Each book contains challenges and activities for teachers to use in developing the intellectual resources students require to explore the subject matter thoughtfully. This series of resources supports students in thinking critically about the operations and policies of various levels of government. Tools for Thought is an online resource available by subscription only. Each lesson contains teaching activities and ready-to-use support materials to help Grades 5-10 students become self-regulated critical thinkers.
