Students learn to inquire into matters, explore unanswered questions, and not take things at face value. They develop an understanding of the importance of being inquiry-minded or curious and of using strategies to develop their own inquiry-mindedness or curiosity. This tutorial includes instructional suggestions for teachers (introducing terms, identifying attributes of concepts, reinforcing concepts, applying concepts in everyday teaching, and assessing student understanding) and resources for students (introductory activities, data chart, student guide and self-assessment rubric).
